WGA still has false-positives, too
Let's not forget that Windows Genuine Advantage still has many more false "pirated-copy" detections than it should. One false detection is too many. They're just ticking off a huge giant, and the giant might have the strength to kick Microsoft's tail for the audacity of considering all its users as pirates.

There is a letter out there, penned by Bill Gates himself in 1976, that accused "all computer hobbyists" of being pirates. Never mind the fact that his Altair BASIC and GWBASIC products (both cited in the letter) were both based heavily on open-source software that he took closed-source. I believe that he, not the many computer hobbyists at the time, was the pirate, but then again, I've only grudgingly used Windows all these years.
