Like my 69 year old mom, who had to pay people to completely re-build - re-install everything every year when she used windows. she got on Ubuntu 3 years ago, and has had not ONE single problem. Linux is free, faster, more stable, easier to use, only scardy pants sissys and people who make their living FIXING WINDOWS software like Windows. I, as a developer, love Windows, because I get to re-write everything every 4 weeks, (which is how often MS COMPLETELY changes "the right way" to dev for windows) I (at home) love Linux, because programs written 20 years ago still work great.
