They're confusing everything in this article. The 50 euros price is for students in public schools, free for those applied in "poor" status. 285 euros is the commercial price of this laptop. In Venezuela the computer is being produced with the same effects as in Portugal for public school students.

Those rambling about the price of it are in private schools, if you've put your kid in a private school that you're able to afford, then why not an educational laptop?
