You make me laugh. I imagine you are trying to be droll, or satirical?

1965: Ken Thompson "created" Unix. GUI? No. OS? Not much of one. Not until version 7 in the '70's was Unix really an OS (IMHO).

You say Windows 3.1 was a copy of Unix at its release (a flawed one at that?). Your very foolish, or too young to know what you speak of.

As for Linux being a better OS than Windows? Depends upon the user, now doesn't it. Both OS's do the same thing essentially. One is easier for the average "Joe" to use and hardware support is better. Which one is that? Who exactly is copying who within Windows -vs- Linux?

personally, I like Linux, use it when it is viable for my needs....but Windows is my choice for most usage of business import. Same thing for Mac too. Has it's "good for list" too. Windows always tops my "will work for this purpose" lists in volume, and simplicity.

To me, that is the determining factor for the "best OS" ribbon. I imagine you will find any logical person (not hate mongered individual)would say the same thing. It is, after all, the simple truth.
