Vista works fine for us
We have about 500 users in our company and starting migrating to Vista 18 months ago. We don't upgrade existing machines, but get all new machines with Vista. We're about halfway to full Vista implementation.
We worked through a few driver issues early on, but since then it has worked fine.
The increased security is sometimes a pain, but it's like wearing a seatbelt - once you get used to it, it's scary to think about not having it. We have had virtually no issues with viruses or malware on our Vista machines.
For us, it has been a plus, especially on the security front.
