RE: Large Hadron Collider powers up
Brother,

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, which I am assuming is what you are as well. Even so, posts like yours here only make us look like, as the others here have labeled you, "religious idiots." The Large Hadron Collider is not something that has been built to "disprove God." To say something like that just makes you sound like some sort of narrow minded bigot, and isn't very becoming to Christ. Instead you should demonstrate that we can follow Christ and intelligently relate to what science is discovering. I'm sure you DO enjoy the use of electricity (since you are using a computer) and therefore it would be much more appropriate for you to see how God is at work in this world through giving people the ability to make discoveries and create new technologies and using it all for His glory - and this is the heritage of humanity, when God told us to fill the earth "and subdue it" there was a blessing there for humankind to find new ways to capture and subdue all of the forces and natural laws that God wrote into the fabric of this world and use to our advantage - to improve LIFE and use our knowledge to serve others and bless Him. The LHC is an attempt to understand many things about physics that could potentially change many many things in terms of technological advances... At the same time, there are many safety questions that need to be responsibly considered, just as any peice of technology needs to involve safety in its considerations.
At any rate, please try to make your comments show that you can bring the message of Christ into the scientific discussion in a meaningful way rather than simply dismissing the natural curiousity that God placed in humans as somehow evil and apart from His design. You will get much father that way and God will recieve much more glory than in your current religious condemning tone.
