That's the video, audio and Ethernet cables. He's
giving a demonstration, so they'd have to pull a
video/audio feed from the iMac to put on the big
screens and the auditorium's sound system. They are
surely using a wired Ethernet connection (vs wireless)
to ensure connectivity (in case there would be any EM
interference).

I think nothingness said it more succinctly.
