5 reasons Chrome wont take over the world:
1 users dont give a rats arse about OS integration with the browser, most Windows, Mac and Linux users, already have investments in software which they know and like.
2 like it or not windows is the predominate OS shipped with new PC's (along with IE7/8) mums dads and bald headed babies have no incentive to download and install something they already have.
3 the 'new clean' interface already has people scratching their heads saying "where is feature X" (like a home button) ... simple search page paradign worked when search engines were new, browsers are old, simple means in this context = "where is it"
4 pimp my browser!! .. firefox has a huge fanbase of people who just cant live without 'extension x'
5 where's the paradigm shift this time? there isnt one. this isnt diruptive technology, just YAB
