You forget that microsoft owns the dominant operating system, and all they need is one 'critical update' to windows to include the SilverLight plug-in and they would have 80% penetration within a year.

Oh wait- they already DID include the silverlight plug-in in a windows update.

This means that perhaps millions of people are watching silverlight on the web, and think its flash because they don't even know they have silverlight installed.
