Room for both to succeed
There is room for both these technologies to succeed. If im a .NET developer ill prefer silverlight, if im an exisitng design house chances are ill use flash, if im an existing flash user then more than likely ill go flex. If im a java developer ill probably go JavaFX.

There's room for all these technologies..

BUT i have to admit that i agree with one of the comments regarding the lack of .NET developers building web apps (using html/javascript). Until now most of us have steered clear BUT thats about to change. There may be alot of us that are bad programmers BUT there are some of us that can programe pretty good so it will be interesting to see what these types of people will create in Silverlight.

I think its going to be a win/win situation for all.
