Already Over
One momentary Silverlight stream of the Olympics doesn't compete with Flash's installed/embedded base. What's the incentive for site developers currently employing Flash? Their sites already employ Flash and everyone has it installed.

People are becoming wise to the was of MS lock-in. Silverlight will not get the traction MS hopes it will. Short of bribery and arm-twisting anyway.
