i never said perfect, check out what Andy Tannenbaum wrote(who's childish!)
As usual you say the same thing that is plain WRONG. You are saying "all software has faults". If am not saying the opposite, which would be: "some software has no faults".

Get a clue. What I am saying is "some software has less faults than other software".
NOTE: this is not the same as "some software has no faults". Think it over.

The way to minimise faults is (1) by making less software - don't take it from me, read what Andy Tannenbaum writes. {he wrote Minix, and expresses admiration for QNX}.

QNX was that cool OS, by the way, that went around on a floppy disk with a full windowing system built in and a web browser!

The core inference of the explicit standards by which Unix was designed was to make tools which are small, and join them together by pipes:

As McIlroy described it, "the philosophy that everyone started to put forth was 'Write programs that do one thing and do it well. Write programs to work together. Write programs that handle text streams, because that is a universal interface.'"

It is self evident from ANY RELIABILITY ANALYSIS that less components make a more reliable system. Go do some MTBF math, and you'll see.

This is why a huge monolithic OS will have many more issues than a system where you can pare the software down to an absolute minimum (linux or unix).

You say you have all this experience, obviously you learnt little on the way.
By the way I don't do "rant". That does however sum up your response.

Frankly I find your total lack of reason pathetic, childish (obviously age is no barrier to childish behaviour) and boring. It appears that you've lost the argument, and in rage, call me all sorts of names.
