Sorry, I don't buy into it.
No project is ever finished, however that does not mean that it can't be properly managed.

I have been in companies where the sales force dictated how we managed projects and I have been in companies that have kept the sales people out of the decision making process. Occasionally business decisions force our hands but there is absolutely no reason why a project cannot be properly managed with the end result being a good quality on or at least close to on schedule. To say otherwise might be an indication that you could be part of the problem when you should be part of the solution.

Flashy features with no substance are usually seen for what they are by even the computer illiterate. Unstable applications that constantly crash impress no one.
