One of the things he did NOT talk is design by committee.
Really, the difference between projects that fail and those that succeed, is having one person that really knows what is going and what is possible, and, with the power to make decisions, and the political skills to keep everybody happy and focused. The managers that have no clue and try to incorporate everything that everybody wants, are the ones running projects that end in disaster.
