?Why anyone would want a flip BlackBerry beats me? ???

I?d ask the opposite question: Why would anyone NOT want a flip BlackBerry or whatever other device?

You have a larger screen in a smaller overall size. Yes, it does make the device thicker but I don?t know anyone who really cares about the thickness, it is the other 2 dimensions that make it comfortable to wear or not.

You have the protection against accidental dial without having to block the damn keyboard, a pain in the butt since you can no longer unlock it with the trackball, even though the menu says so; you absolutely have to press *+call.

You can better protect the keyboard and the trackball, which is really bad as it is ? it doesn?t need any more harm.

I don?t care about the trends and I assume not many business users do. I believe a flip phone/PDA/whatever makes a lot of sense and if I ever move away from the Blackberry, after being a loyal customer ever since they invented it, the fact that they don?t offer a flip could very well be one of the possible reasons.
