You are right about the people. Unfortuantely noone sees it until it hits their own pocketbook. It is like the automotive industry hitting hard times because so many mimports came in and took jobs away. It happened long before that. Textile industries went overseas long ago and the clothing manufacturers followed suit shortly after. We won't pay three and four times the amount for our clothes when we can buy thirdworld items for 1/4 the cost.
We don't seee the other persons plight until it hits our pocketbook. Wait until we need to have to fight a major war. We won't be able to build weapons in our own backyard without buying components overseas. I hope we don't piss off the wrong country and not be able to build that tank, or worse buy the operating chip that controls the tank. Man what do you do with a 50,000lb vehicle that won't run?
