That's because the US congress, who makes it possible for this junk to happen, doesn't represent the majority of Americans. The average net worth of a US senator is well over $1 million.

The wealthy have all the power and they intend on keeping it. Wouldn't you if in their position?

Time for a serious smack down in US politics, like a political party made up of entirely lower and middle class peoeple. The rich are the minority, they just have all the power.
