They tried the same things with vcr and lost, just a matter of time, the soft money will keep it alive for awhile before it gets shot down in the end

Media companies want PLAY Protection, not Copy Protection, that why they can sell a license for the PLAYER and the MEDIA - bet if the courts ruled that the license was to be included in the media only, the media companies would back off in a heart beat
