- Not so strange as you might think!
- I don't really think that's a strange reason to buy a product. If Apple people can shun Microsoft products, then why shouldn't users who prefer not-Apple hardware buy a 3rd party mp3 player? I bought one of the first generation Dell DJ's in 2003 because it had the same capacity as contemporary iPods, twice the battery life, and I believed it was easier to use, what with its dedicated volume, play, record, and power buttons (and a low quality mic!). Add to that a price tag about half of the iPod, and incredible longevity (I still use it in my car every day, batteries last a good 6-7 hours, 5 years after purchase), and I think I would definitely go for a Dell music player again. I just hope that they don't do anything too drastic, all I'd really like is more capacity, and perhaps avi, flac, and ogg support.
