Dell had no long term strategy, but a great 1st/2nd Gen DJ
I loved my 1st Gen Dell DJ, it was rugged enough, felt sturdy and travel well with its accessories. As far as harddrive portable music players go, it was tops on my list, but then Dell decided to go flash based and by the time my 1st gen ultimately crashed, I was not impressed by the Ditty and its meager storage option. It was the 1st signs of Dells exodus from its customers and this market, and I don't see myself being the 1st to try to be burned by a Dell-of-all-trades, master of none?.
