So are words ...
So what did they copyright?

We have covered the alphabet and the words ... you can even use a 'Dictionary' to check the validity of words.

They didn't patent that then.

The Board? Er? I've seen hundreds of games from Chess, Snakes and Ladders, Go (Wei Qi) etc. So it can't be that.

Tiles ... Majong and dominoes.

What is left? The Rules???

They can only copyright a specific version of the rules written with all the words in the same order.

That and they can register the trademark.

But doesn't someone else have a snack food called Scrabble???
