renewal is a wonderful thing
copyrights can be renewed at the end of certain periods...the founding fathers weren't that stupid. The reason they can still sue over copyright infringement is because they have RENEWED their copyright and still own the rights to it. The copyright only expires if you get tired of paying the government money or you die and haven't assigned the rights to the property to a major corporation.
