No, you don't get to redefine the term.
There is an accepted definition of spam: Unsolicited commercial e-mail. You can't simply change that definition to suit your own purposes. If you didn't request it or give explicit permission for it to be sent, then it's spam. It doesn't matter if you like it, enjoy reading it, or would have requested it had you known about it.
