Spam is not in the eye of the beholder
Spam is unsolicited commercial e-mail. Period. Some people might want to receive it and they may order things advertised via spam, but it's still spam.

Someone with a small penis may welcome spam offering products to enlarge his undersized member. But his desire to see that kind of spam does not mean that it should be legal to bulk e-mail those ads to millions of people. Nor does it mean that the ads aren't spam.

You compare it to "junk mail" sent through the Postal Service, but the two are totally different. With spam, the costs are passed on to the recipients. With postal mail, the senders bear the costs.
