Why change the definition?
Fine if you want to say that spam is only spam when you don't want it, knock yourself out. But everyone that talks about it intelligently recognizes that laws depend on definitions of acts, and that therefore spam must have a solid, unambiguous definition. That's not what you're giving. You're certainly welcome to provide your own definition, but don't be surprised when people shake their head and wander away, realizing that a conversation with you is pointless.
