... where the story of the great PIT continues. It just amazes and saddens me how far the US has fallen.
When the rest of the world reads about the insurance lawsuits related to the original WTC, the fear of replacing the building with one that would rank as the world's tallest, the endless debates over design... they see a people cowering in fear, squabbling over petty details, and unable to move forward on anything without pandering to every special interest group.
How amazing it would have been if the federal government had stepped up, offered to immediately fund a replacement building, and ensured it would have been the world's tallest.
