Linux is not free
Say what you want but Linux is not free. If you use Linux in a nontrivial manner it is NOT free. Once you get past package manager to install software the learning curve can get very steep very quickly. One bout of dependency hell and "free" goes right out the window if things like productivity and "I have a deadline to meet" come into play.

I am not a Linux Sys admin. Like many small IT shops I am it when it comes to dealing with in house Linux issues. If I need to install something on a production machine and the install fails during "make install" we are screwed. There is no undo or uninstall when that happens. It is restore from backup time.

Free? Yeah right. One episode like that and the $700-$800 for windows server pays for itself.
