"My car does sometimes serve as a rolling office."

There are several options here...

1. If you must do some job related task, then stay at the office and do it.

2. Disconnect once in a while. Your efficiency drops when you are distracted with things like... controlling a 2 ton hunk of metal, rubber and glass hurtling down the road at 80MPH.
devil

Meant to add, your conversation is NOT more important than the safety and lives of all around you. There is a study (I am still looking for the link to it) that shows that talking on a cell phone utilizes the same portion of the brain as used when driving. And that this portion is not designed for multi-tasking.

The same study (if memory serves me correctly) also shows that driving while talking on a cell phone is more dangerous than driving under the influence of alcohol.

As for personal experience... I get to see everyday the ignorant stupidity displayed by people on cell phones. The number of accidents and near accidents coupled with people driving 40MPH in the fast lane or swerving lane to lane as they are trying to drink their latte, talk on the phone and write things down is amazingly high.

Insurance statistics also bear out this fact as do the CHP (and other states too I am sure) accident statistics. Bottom line... you are not that important. And if you think you are or that call is... pull over and let the rest of us get along SAFELY!. devil
