That sure is a nice, clean reflective surface
That nice reflective surface is the means by which any mirror could be considered efficient. However you can kiss that efficiency goodbye after a few desert dust storms sand blast it, or a bird or two gets fried trying to land on the collector.

And can you imagine a few floating leaves drifting by, busting into flame and landing on drought ridden land in Nevada?

Oh yea, put one of these ignition sources next to my house and see how long it takes for me put a few shot shells through that nice reflective surface.
