Don't you know what correlation is? Correlate is very different than cause. You may speculate as to the cause, but you can't deny the correlation. And until the other things you talk about (kids, high positions, living at home) are correlated with the early adoption of technology, this remains the best candidate explanation. I recommend a basic research course or book before you ever start typing on a keyboard again. Then you may say something educated. Until then...you won't.
