RE: BlackBerry vs. iPhone--QWERTY vs. touch screen
The comments concerning the attraction to old technology and
not wanting to learn a new technology were on point. BTW ...
QWERTY was devised for type setting machines to slow down
the type setters, it predates typewriters. Even after the creation
of the better DROVAK layout by the Pentagon during WWII,
which allowed people to learn how to type fast in a couple of
weeks, we are still using QWERTY .... I guess we wouldn't want
to learn a new technology?
The future is coming and it is touch screens, hand recognition
and voice recognition. We will progress by removing the
mechanical layers between ourselves and our computers.
