Reponses paint a grim picture

I think it fair to say that the "respondants" general tone and attitude to "computer morality" says it all. When "we", as a civilisation, lose the ability to readily discern good influences from bad, and justify our "love" of bad influences ("the games are harmless", "it's just a computer game" etc) and the glorification of bad morals, we know that we are in serious trouble. I've spent enough time around those who play computer games of dubious moral contact (GTA, Doom, Unreal Tournament etc), to have seen how regular playing of those "games" have heavily influenced their overall thinking and general moral tone. The net effect has been very similar to those who consider pornography to be a "normal" choice - it's addictive, progressive, destructive and degenerative. And the reasonably "vicious", almost ranting, replies to your views show how close to the mark you have hit. To quote Han Solo "I must have hit pretty close to the mark to get her so riled up, huh kid?".
