And everything you stated is a good thing because?
Look this is sooo very simple. Power corrupts! Everytime we give more power to those in the government (regardless of the fear justification" we strip said power for we as individuals. It's that simple. Now the poster I'm replying too points out certain safe guards that might prevent these actions from getting out of hand. Still all safe guards and freedoms that this nation once enjoyed at its core are but words on paper and all it takes if for people to A: Ignore said words or B: Write new words that supercede the old words. So I'm not certain that these safe guards are all that SAFE.

Those how surrender safety for freedom get neither and deserve none. Or something to that effect writen by one of those old dead guys. (who in all likely hood are presently spinning in their collective graves)

So what of Patriot II. I've been told that an American Citizen can disapear off the streets and we have no right to know why? Where the are? When they might be back? Or what they have been charged with, or even IF they have been charged with anything? So then I take it that at this point I should simply TRUST in the government that it is doing the right think...LIKE THAT HAS EVER BEEN A GOOD IDEA!!!
