OOXML is very bad, ODF is pretty good
There is no bias in my statement, it's pure fact. You can go verify yourself. Learn all about XML, examine the two.
The exact problems (including lots of date bugs) have been well documented in the submissions to ISO.

So the ISO passed a standard incorporating numerous date bugs not to mention all the other technical failings it has. You'd have thought they would would have tried to at least remove all bugs before passing it.

Is suspect corruption, because otherwise, why not just wait until the specification is made better?

And the documented voting patterns and so on just reek of corruption. But then, we are surrounded by it.
The more people like you try to gloss over it, the more it will happen, and the weaker our western countries will get, with an inevitable outcome.
