Oh, I hope you're kidding...
... but the knot in my stomach suggests that you're not. So...

the whole point of living in a capitalist society is our ability to make a buck.

Sure, why not-- imprecise, but I'll live with it, so long as we emphasize the word "ability". That's not the same as "obligation".

...taking something that someone else developed\invented and creating a product that you make money from is stealing

That's pretty ambiguous. Sure, if I steal your car and use it to run my business, you've got a point. If I see someone else using a car and decide that's nifty, the matter is considerably less clear.

In the end, what you're really doing is taking advantage of other people's work because you are too greedy and lazy to come up with anything original on your own.

No, that's not it at all. People contribute to Open Source. They don't go out and take. They create and give.

The patent violations...

What violations? It seems that you're assuming a lot. Did you just read the headline and assume that the article had substance. Tsk, tsk... you should know better than that.

...a complete lack of creativity and talent of the part of the open source community.

We await your justification for such a statement. Please, be specific.
