- HP has always run as a small company who always made a quality product and believed in thier people and thier customers. When they grow, they seem to always make the new company and customers welcome in the new mix. IBM has always been a BIG Company with all the problems associated with that. Ever hear an "old timer" at IBM tell any stories about having to sing the company song or submit to "dress inspection" anytime they were ordered?
