How green could make Europe a tech power

Single set of rules?

The concept of a single set of rules isnt meant to be taken literally. Rather, its an acceptance that we are falling more and more under the rule of the EU as the highest power. Of course there will be local differences, how could there not be with such diversity of race, culture, and religion, among other things.

But having said that, the momentum is clearly moving towards a more consolidated Europe. The very fact that there is so much complaint among English citizens about how much control is being acceeded to Europe is proof alone of this. And Gordon Browns "4 red lines", are pretty much the last moves in the end-game of such.

As for what will happen in the future, what you say may well be true. But this is a process that has been a long time coming. If you look at modern history, what has basically happened since the end of WW2 has been fascinating, and I can see that this road still has a way to go. It will be interesting to see the future of Europe, and how it goes about accomodating the various diversity, and divesting itself of the fears you mentioned.

I hold no position on the matter, other than being an interested passer-by.
