Oh please
"Microsoft is proof that American Capitalism doesn't work - ie, it doesn't deliver anything useful or sustainable for the masses".

I don't really know where to start with that imbecilic statement. Firstly, love Microsoft or hate it, hasn't it delivered operating systems that even my parents (and many people's grandparents) can use? Linux hasn't done that.

As for "American" capitalism, you must have a short memory (or be too young). You certainly must suffer from a serious lack of perspective if you think that operating systems are the measure of capitalism's success or failure. "American" capitalism, rather like "European" capitalism - there really isn't much difference in the economic system, just varying levels of public service provision and welfare - has delivered mass prosperity through high productivity. Talk to the Chinese if you think capitalism doesn't work.

The rest of your confused posting confirms that you don't know what you're talking about.
