I believe your concept of giving to 3rd world countries is great. I'd like to precede the idea by reminding everyone that there are millions of young children in the USA that would benefit equally from such donations. They are probably not quite as poor as those in Africa and such countries, but the need is no less urgent. Some don't realize there are millions of children who go to bed hungry every night in the US. They get far below an average education or none at all. This is a dark side of our otherwise fabulous country, but it nonetheless does exist. We can assist these people with ideas like the one you have suggested. These folks are those closest to us. We are the only hope they have and we can truly help them and at the same time make our country much better for those less fortunate here in America. While we give billions to foreign countries, too many of our own people suffer. Why not help them? There's no better time than now.
