It's frustrating
Patents were created to protect the little guy, who toils in his garage to create something unique and wants to sell it. But most of the time they are used by big businesses who patent the sh!it out of every idea anyone comes up with. The more vague the better, because when someone comes up with an actual product close to what they already conceptualized then they can cash in without doing any actual work. It's wrong and it's harmful to society, but it's profitable and thus will continue.
