They're not fakes, they're REAL mockups.

They're not "fakes." They're proof-of-concept, specifically the interaction concept. Obviously the hand itself (the one in the very uncomfortable looking two fingered claw) is being used in most of the shots.

Whoever wrote this article is the one embellishing "see-through" screens. The purpose of the photoshopping is to show where the hand behind the VERY OPAQUE screen is and how that hand's positioning controls the interface.
