There have been a lot of posts from people who have experience with offshoring that have said it is not as good as the hype. They have basically gotten lower quality work and less savings than expected. I got to see one piece of code that someone got from an offshore company. It looked like it was done by a high school student. I laughed really hard when I saw it. Most people that I went to college with could have written better code in their freshmen year. The person I got it from did say that it was the worst of the bunch that he got, but the rest were less than adequate.

I, personally, haven't had enough experience with offshoring to have a real opinion. Hopefully, I never will.
