Fusion?!?!?!

In the worst case, our voices would go up in pitch... but we're talking about an immense amount of helium to change that many voices!

Sorry Charlie, In the [B}only case that would occur, you would vaporize the city in which the fusion event took place because the only way to achieve fusion on the planet Earth is to detonate a hydrogen bomb. There is no such thing as a fusion reactor.

Also, fusion itself may be clean, but the only way to achieve temperatures high enough to fuse two atoms together is by achieving prompt criticality in Uranium or Plutonium. And this act will release vast amounts of neutron radiation into the enviroment which will of course is lethal.
