One mention of the words 'Nuclear Power' and everyone freaks out. They immediately link it to nuclear fission, which is, to give them credit, pretty nasty. That's the process of breaking down heavy atoms into smaller atom, commonly radioactive and toxic.

Nuclear FUSION, on the other hand, is one of the safest and cleanest power sources around. It takes two different isotopes of hydrogen (on of which is radioactive) and 'fuses' them together to form a 'standard' atom of (non-radioactive) helium - a very safe element.

In the worst case, our voices would go up in pitch... but we're talking about an immense amount of helium to change that many voices!
