Granted that's just the cost of a tank of gas, but for something that is a one-trick pony, people will resist.

Why not use regular flash memory provided by the customer or cheap from the company and use and use a small software widget on the card to control DRM? That way it could be plugged directly into a TV, Xbox, laptop etc.
