It won't make it past the major test phase
DRM will kill this. If you have to buy proprietary hardware for $60 (which I think is a lot for limited movie hardware) that someone is going to have to figure out (not tech geeks like all of us) it won't happen.

How about kiosks in airports where someone sticks a thumb drive in and downloads a movie sticks it in their laptop and watches? That would go gangbusters, but unfortunately will never happen.

This guy will still probably make bucks with the transfer technology.

Am I the only one that finds downloading SD movies from Xbox, Vongo et al to be no big deal. I can start watching in about 3 minutes. When Xbox Live hooks up with Netflix we'll be signing up.
