I completely agree
The thing is, there is already quite a variety of distribution channels. This is a new one, which has higher costs, and seems to be seeking to introduce DRM tech which most people view as either a negative or neutral. I dont think there are many consumers who actively looked for material which is DRM encrypted.

So, its more expensive for the consumer, has more potential for problems, and is going to compete in a crowded space against competitors who have a mature model already.

The easy solution is to simply ditch DRM. This is the starting point for all future tech innovation. At this point, users will be more inclined to feel included, and will truely embrace the delivery of movies via the internet. As it stands, there are some who do it, but the majority still dont use the internet for their movie rental and delivery, and this just exacerbates an inefficient marketplace, due to DRM.
