This is freaky
Just goes to show that it's really true, once one has gained physical access to your machine it's safe to assume right then and there that it will be rooted. This I bet is pretty scary though for those who put good faith into FileVault and similar technology, luckily all the stability issues the technology brings along with it has kept me from ever relying on it.
