- Gates explains why Microsoft needs Yahoo

Gates always has a good vision and plan of the future. This vision of Microsoft acquiring Yahoo will help them tremendously. Although they do not have to fear losing any of the Yahoo engineers. A lot of those guys are top of their class. They won't leave the company because where would they go? Not to Google as they would actually like to make a difference and code new and interesting search projects, not sit around and play with office toys. The Yahoo developers really don't have a choice. They have to stick with Yahoo and/or Microsoft because no other search engines could afford them or are as popular.
Yahoo made a big mistake by trying to bluff Microsoft. A bluff so bad its going to cost them billions of dollars.
