Street View - A dissaster?

Today (2/16) was my first exposure to Street View. I live in one of the cities imaged. At first I was thrilled by the COOL factor, but after looking at my house and neighbors doing their everyday things in their front yard, a concern became greater the more I thought about it.

None of us were notified or asked if was OK at any time, neighbors don't even they have images of them online but more importantly what this could potentially be used for.

Besides privacy issues, direputable people can now case ALL of the residental areas and decide on places to further investigate to hit. I don't think this ia a maybe but a sure when.

Some companies are getting to the point where their customer base (general public) opinions don't matter and "not their concern". I like Google but am disappointed in their lace of sensitivity.
